Prior to being sentenced to 114 years in prison and raised in a dysfunctional environment, trust for me wasn’t one of the attributes that I would have entertained. I was an emotional coward even in my new found life of freedoms and redemption. There are still some painful places that I wouldn’t let anyone into, however meeting Shwanda was one of my life defining moments, a breakthrough happens! The shackles of shame and low-self worth was unlocked. Shwanda's natural ability to draw you led me to a place of comfort, no pressure, and no judgement. This was a place unimaginable for me. Shwanda has a way, solely to uplift, encourage and to speak life into a dead stinking place. Today I am grateful, today I am honored to say there will always be tie that binds our spirits together. Thank you so much for your selflessness.

I can proudly say I have been friends with Shwanda for almost 18 years! I have always been able to pick up the phone whenever needed to get 'advice from my girlfriend'! I always thought she was wise for her age. Regardless of the miles that may separate us, she has been there for me and my daughter. She's there to help at the drop of a hat and offer whatever support we need, be it a listening hear, encouragement, or just a good ol laugh. Recently, my daughter and I were having communication issues. I filled Shwanda in and had my daugther do the same. The insight she had and advice she gave was on point, as usual! I realized the improvements I needed to make and my daughter realized hers as well. We have been taking heed and our communication has massively improved! We still have those 'teenage' moments, but, the worst is definitly 100% better. It's a blessing to be able to see Shwanda blossom into her calling and use her gift that God has given her to help so many more people.
